Draw tomorrow. Hillariously convoluted draw mechanism video here.
If we somehow win the playoff away at Kashima or Kawasaki we'll be in a group with one of Evergrande, Shanghai Shenhua or Beijing FC from China and one of Jeonbuk, Ulsan or Suwon Bluewings (with Taggart and Antonis) from Korea, plus one of Chiangrai from Thailand or Johor Darul Tazim from Malaysia.
No Japanese team in our potential group, so no Ange. Good chance he'll get Sydney or Perth though.

Although we're in historically bad form, and it would take history being written with a first away win in Asia to qualify, one thing that does give us a chance is the fact that the playoff will be very early in Japan's preseason, even earlier than those first group stage games that Australian teams have had luck with against East Asian clubs.
Hopefully for our sake Kashima win the cup (rather likely) and we get Kawasaki, we managed 2-2 away with them in the 2018 ACL.
